Taylor Swift has been my favorite music artist ever since I heard her first album "Taylor Swift". Throughout the years of listening, I have loved many of her songs and listened to her albums on repeat. My favorite song is All Too Well (Ten Minute Version) from her Red (Taylor's Version) album. This song was from her vault songs. I love this song because of the lyrics, this is the type of song I would sing with friends or by myself. Even though it is a sadder song it shows the talent Taylor Swift possesses. The way she uses lyrics to describe how she is feeling is moving to me. All Too Well (Ten-Minute Version) has me engaged during the entire song and I love every second of it.

The song
All Too Well originally came out in 2012 on Taylor's Red album before she decided that she was going to re-record her albums. This song was only 5 minutes and 29 seconds when it was first released. Taylor Swift told Swifties that the 10-minute version was what she initially wrote but she had to cut the song in half because she thought the song was too long and it would not be good for the album.
Taylor Swift also produced a short film of the song with actors Sadie Sink and Dylan O'Brien as a romantic couple. Throughout the film, it shows the ups and downs of their relationship and how it all fell apart because of an age gap. I thought the actors picked in this short film were excellently cast. The film was broken up into phases of their relationship. This includes "An Upstate Escape", "The First Crack in the Glass", "Are You Real?", "The Breaking Point, "The Reeling", "The Remembering", and "Thirteen Years Gone". Taylor Swift is also featured in the film at the end. It is impressive that she wrote and produced this film. Attached below is the short film.
All Too Well (10-minute Version) expresses a lot of emotion, which is why I enjoy it so much. I know every word of the song because of how easy it is to sing along. The lyrics mention the memories Taylor felt during her relationship, which is described as if they have been frozen in time. Taylor Swift wrote the song about Jake Gyllenhaal. The song reveals details about their relationship together, which mentions the car trip to upstate New York, their age difference, the scarf reference, and Thanksgiving dinner at Maggie Gyllenhaal's house. I believe this song is one of Taylor Swift's best songs she has written.
To me, the All Too Well (10-minute Version) does not seem overly long for a song. It feels necessary to have the whole 10 minutes. I think this song is perfect for anyone trying to move on from a relationship, but every time they do there is the memory of the good and bad times. This is a song I will continue to listen to for many years to come.
